Avec la diversit\u00e9 du monde aujourd\u2019hui, la nouvelle ann\u00e9e se c\u00e9l\u00e8bre de mani\u00e8re diff\u00e9rente d\u2019un pays \u00e0 un autre<\/strong>. Bien qu\u2019en France<\/strong>, il soit convenu de sabrer le champagne avant de le servir et d\u2019envoyer des cartes de v\u0153ux pour souhaiter bonheur et sant\u00e9, nos voisins \u00e0 travers le monde ont des coutumes bien diff\u00e9rentes.<\/p>\n\n

On the other side of the world our friends in the Philippins<\/strong> are obsessed with round shapes. For the entire holiday period, they dine around round tables and gift each other round fruits and coins. On New Year\u2019s Eve, they wear polka dots to celebrate the circle of life.<\/p>\n\n

In Latin America, and especially in Argentina, Colombia and Brazil, whoever wants to travel in the new year has to walk around the block with an empty suitcase after midnight.<\/p>\n\n

Every year InCape Verde the New Year\u2019s Eve race is a sporting event that brings together famous African athletes and locals. It takes place right on New Year\u2019s Eve and is also called the New Year\u2019s Eve Midnight Bath, since at the end people jump into the ocean to wash off the previous year.<\/p>\n\n

In more superstitious countries such as Greece, there\u2019s a belief that the first guest to step into the house brings either happiness, if they step over the threshold with their right foot forward, or sorrow, if they step over the threshold with their left foot forward and come empty handed.<\/p>\n\n
