In 2006, Karine Karakostopoulos launched Kalliopé with the goal of creating a translation agency that simply focused on quality. Eighteen years later, the results are in. The agency now has five members of staff and boasts double-digit growth.

18 years of translating for our clients

From the very beginning, Karine wanted to combine her experience in the field of translation with new technologies to provide her clients with a high standard of specialised translations. The first project manager came onboard in 2008. One year later, Laëtitia Martin-Gonzalez joined the team as a commercial development manager when Kalliopé took over another translation agency. The first major projects started coming in: L’Oréal Professionel asked Kalliopé to translate a large project from Brazilian Portuguese into French and BNP Personal Finance came in with a document on risk management that needed to be translated from French into English in record time. In 2011, Kalliopé took over the translation division of a training company. That same year, the office at Rue Pecquay became too small for the growing team so Kalliopé moved to a new office a few steps away on Rue des Archives.

A strong team for strong growth

By 2016, Kalliopé had built a network of more than 650 translators led by its dedicated project managers . 18 years later, Kalliopé is highly regarded in the industry, its services more sought after than ever before.
